This is a great home from the 2000s- the clients purchased the home knowing they would want to trade the dated fancy glazed cabinets for more simple elegance, and make room for an island to provide better traffic flow. We used the Cabico Elmwood Series to outfit this room and we used a laminated edge to make the island countertop thicker, and the agate countertop in the butler's pantry was backlit with an LED panel for dramatic effect in that area. The wood hood was covered in stainless by a local fabricator.
